Being right in the middle of Arkansas's most populated city, it is difficult to keep up with legislative district boundaries. Broadmoor appears to be split, both by House districts and Senate districts.
The easiest way to determine which districts you live in is to check your voter registration. Circuit Clerk Pat O'Brien makes it easy here. Type in your name and date of birth, and the computer will show you what districts you are in and the names of your legislators. It works for Justice of the Peace districts, school board zones, etc.
After you find the district number, you can go to the Arkansas General Assembly's site and look up your legislators. Click here. You can e-mail most of them from that site.
Broadmoor lies in Arkansas House of Representatives Districts 32 and 33, and Senate Districts 33 and 34. Senator David Johnson represents the northern end of the neighborhood, with Senator Joyce Elliot (co-chair of the University District Partnership) covering the balance of Broadmoor. Representatives Fred Allen and Wilhelmena Lewellen represent us in the House. It is very difficult to tell from the map, but Rep. Allen probably has a very small portion of Broadmoor.
