Teams Confirmed
The first list of confirmed teams participating in the 2009 Alltel Real Deal in the Rock was released on Monday, November 3rd. The list is loaded top to bottom with twenty-five of the top teams from across the nation, and the best team in Canada.
Fourteen different states and the District of Columbia are represented in the list. Teams will be coming from all corners of the U.S. The state of California boast three teams, Belmont Shore and California Supreme from Los Angeles, and Drew Gooden Soldiers from the Bay area.
The New York Panthers and New York Gauchos will bring their game down from the Big Apple, while two teams, Illinois Warriors and Mac Irvin's Illinois Fire, will represent the Windy City.
Two teams will be on display from the Sunshine State. Team Breakdown are from Miami and Amare Stoudemire's Team Stat are from the Tampa Bay area of Florida.
The state of Ohio is sending King James Shooting Stars from Cleveland and All Ohio Red from Columbus. And Jackson, Mississippi will have two entries in the tournament, MBA Hoops and Jackson Panthers.
DC Assault will represent our nation's capitol and the Dallas Mustangs will head east from the Lone Star State.
Grassroots Canada will cross the border to participate in Real Deal, while the Wisconsin Playgroud Warriors will make the trek dowm from Milwaukee.
Three teams from Hotlanta, the Atlanta Celtics, Hoop Planet, and Worldwide Renegades will make their way to the Rock. Spiece Indy Heat will come from the Hoosier State, while the Memphis Magic will cross the Mississippi River from Tennessee.
Team Philly will represent the City of Brotherly Love and Southeast Elite will bring the Sweet Home Alabama all the way from Huntsville. All of these teams will join the host team, the Arkansas Hawks, in Little Rock, to battle in the toughest field of any of the summer basketball tournaments.
