With about 4.5 inches of rain in Broadmoor on October 28 and 29, intense rains the evening of the 29th were released from Broadmoor Dam's emergency spillway. The spillway is the first and only labyrinth spillway in Arkansas. It draws excess water off the lake during heavy rains.
