UALR Helps Finance Broadmoor Home Improvement Projects

Here was the scene this week just before a downpour as roofers on Woodcliff Circle worked to beat the rain. Money to re-roof the house came from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas’ Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP) grant through the efforts of the UALR University District Development Corporation staff.
The University District Development Corporation (UDDC) is a newly formed not-for-profit organization and was awarded a 501c3 tax designation in 2008.

The UDDC has roofed several houses in the UALR area, including some in Broadmoor.
The UDDC was established as a free standing agent to implement many of the housing and economic development goals identified in the University District Revitalization Plan and University Strategic Plan. Governed by a 15 member Board of Directors made up of local residents, financial institutions, faith-based organizations, real estate professionals, small business owners and UALR personnel, the UDDC is taking a lead role in the development or redevelopment of housing for first-time home buyers in the University District.
Broadmoor thanks the University District Staff!
