Police Tips for the Holidays

Little Rock Police tips for times when you leave home during the holidays:
  • -Make sure that all windows and doors are secured and locked.
  • -Leave a light and radio on.


If you are traveling out of town:
  • Call the Police non-emergency number, 371-4829 or 4830. To make a report over the phone 501-371-4617. and ask for a "vacation home report."  The police will patrol your home on every shift.
  • Tell your neighbors when you are leaving and expect to be home.
  •  Stop your mail and newspaper or have a neighbor collect them daily.


In your car:
  • Park in a well lighted area.
  • Do not leave valuables in sight.
  • Have your keys ready as you approach your car.
  • Ask for an escort from the store if you have a number of packages or feel unsafe.


Lookout for your neighbors:
  • Talk to them and understand their coming and going.
  • Be watchful for unknown vehicles at their home.
  •  Report ALL suspicious behavior by calling 911, every time you see it.


When driving:
  • Lock your car doors.
  • Be mindful of the weather, watch for ice.
