City to Ticket Yard Parking
On March 8, 2012 City of Little Rock Staff will begin enforcing new
provisions of the current "Parking in Yard" ordinance.
The new provisions will allow both Housing Code and Planning Code Staff
to immediately issue citations when they witness a violation.
At a news conference to be held on March 7, 2012 at 1:30 p.m., a new
flier will be introduced. It will note changes in the original
ordinance: specifically, that violators may be cited immediately and
that the citation carries a fifty ($50) dollar fine. In addition, it
will announced that Staff will be adjusting normal work hours for Code
Officers in the mornings, evenings and on weekends to ensure violations
are addressed. Staff will continue to respond to complaints and will
issue citations during Code Enforcement "sweeps" and during
their regular course of business in the neighborhoods.
